Building #93 was originally
built for patients with long term physical chronic illnesses.
Early on the more bed ridden patients were housed on the top floors
where smaller dayrooms existed. The larger dayrooms were on the
lower levels and those wards were for more mobile patients. Eventually
the top floors of the building were closed leaving only the lower
levels in operation. The back of the building is the kitchen and
employee dining hall. This building also has a mural room painted
by a patient long ago. The murals depicts a caricature of activities
in the recreation wing of the basement. This building also housed
the center's central pharmacy. |
