Long Island Oddities Paranormal Society

Do you revel in all things paranormal and strange on Long Island? Then you would fit right in at our society.

Group Objective: Paranormal discussion, study, field trips, investigations, movies, and lectures. We are not limited solely to paranormal investigations, but also enjoy dining, staying at, and enjoying any paranormal location.

Meetings: We have general meetings the last Monday of every month. All are welcome to come down. They are located at the Middle Country Library's Centereach Branch on Eastwood Blvd. and start at 7pm sharp.

Folklore

Not only is Long Island rich with history . but also with legends and folklore. This page is dedicated to bringing you these legends and dissecting them. We get quite a few emails from people all over the island telling us of the local legends from their neck of the woods. Combine that with our love for research and you will get a more complete picture.

UFO's On Long Island

Long Island has had more than its fair share of reported UFO sightings, abductions, crashes, cover-ups, and the like. Did you know that in 1992 there were reports of a UFO crashing into Southaven County Park? How about the Area 51 like Camp Hero?
