Pizza Hut on Middle
Country Road, Centereach:
Local urban legend has it that this particular pizza hut might
have more than just pizza. A man was once killed in the men's
bathroom when the building was actually a Jack's. Some say you
can hear things in that bathroom though the exact bathroom legend
is unclear. |

| We received a tip from
one of the shift managers there that the pans in the kitchen
had a habit of falling off the shelves. She said that twice
they found all the pans on the floor in the back. When they
made efforts to tie the pans in so that they would not fall
again, it was in vain. Some local patrons also claim the place
to be haunted. With permission, L.I.P.I. conducted an investigation
one evening to see if there would be any concrete evidence of
a haunting. Our arrival was rather amusing for some local patrons
but L.I.P.I. got right down to work. Nothing unusual came up
immediately on any of the equipment except for some odd EMF
readings which could easily have been due to the electrical
devices in the building. Upon entering the men's room however
they noticed some static interference on the walkie talkies.
From their past experience with strange radio interference at
Mount Misery, it did pique
their interest. The tapes and data are still being analyzed
and further information may follow. Just before leaving, one
of the members of the L.I.P.I. asked a Spanish speaking employee
in the kitchen if there were ghosts and he emphatically replied
yes, however the language barrier prevented further inquiry
for the moment. |
